“Lives and works”: a very common expression found nearly in every artist's C.V. The majority of  Greek artists make their living by working in fields that have nothing to do with art. While Athens' nightlife is stuffed with artists working in bars, coffee shops and restaurants, this second profession is hidden from their formal CVs. This work is formed around the following questions: what sort of choices are given to Greek artists in order to both make their living and produce art? Which is the stand point of the state in relation to the art community and to the artist as a professional? What kind of decisions do artists have to make in order to continue pursuing their artistic vision, while at the same time managing to survive. This film brings to the fore stereotypes seen as they come from various perspectives; a complex of moral and authority issues unfolds the value of Art in contemporary western societies.
